Renovated Villa With Separate Practice Area | Royal Homes

A complete renovation and redesign of the ground floor of a villa, that was the assignment. But not just any renovation: a complete design with an eye towards futuristic living, including a separate practice area. The result is a sleek, yet warm-feeling custom interior that meets all desires.

The customer’s wishes were very clear: maximum comfort, flexibility, usability and future-oriented. In addition, there was another important factor to take into account: a separate homework function.

Therefore, a semi-open layout was chosen based on a central volume on the ground floor that combines several functions. This custom closet wall includes cloakroom, toilet, fireplace and air conditioning facilities.

The dark central corridor, which previously provided access to the most important rooms, is a thing of the past. By choosing a semi-open closet wall, the entire ground floor space is used and light plays free. The practice rooms are closed off from the private area with convenient sliding doors.

An open kitchen creates a pleasant sense of space. The modern, white look of the kitchen goes very well with the warm wood tones of the wall cupboards. The sleek running lines and warm finish of the central volume created a sleek yet warm-feeling custom interior. The breakfast island with high chairs is also very contemporary and hip.

The kitchen is not only the eye-catcher of the room, but it is also very functional. The storage room is included in the white wardrobe wall and is therefore easily accessible from each function: living, working or terrace. In short, ease of use is tied to design. This elegant design is further accentuated by ceiling mounted spotlights.

Another top item on the interior architects’ list was a beautiful view of the garden. From both the kitchen and the living room you get a beautiful view of all the beauty that nature has to offer. Or you can just keep an eye on the kids while they’re playing outside. Large areas of glass create extra light and you can easily enter and exit the garden through the sliding windows.

A limited extension to the rear with maximum light was chosen to create an open character with the outside environment. These interventions transformed the ground floor of this villa into a contemporary home with lots of light and comfort. Exactly what the owners of this villa had in mind.
